Baby Wyatt's Nursery

Our theme for Wyatt's room started off as a moose theme... Then we stretched it to a nature theme. We still have lots of moose stuffed animals though! :)

I was going to take my Cricut and have my sister in law make birch trees and piece them together on the wall with Vinyl but my husband wanted to use wood. I'm glad he decided to because i think it looks great and believe it or not, was cheaper. We got 2 sheet of wood for $7 each i think it was. This spring we were planning on painting them white and making them birch trees but we kind of like the way it came out.

I drew the trees on the wood and my husband cut them out and stuck them on the wall!

I also made the bed skirt and made a matching curtain for the closet. I don't have a picture of the closet because my husband hasn't gotten it hung up yet. The door is oddly shaped and involves a custom door which my husband doesn't have time to do so a temporary (probably permanent fix) was fabric! :) Love the little squirrel. I used Sure Cuts Alot and cut the fabric with my cricut. I used Wonder Under i think it's called but of course, it didn't stick to the fabric so i had to stitch it. I'm actually glad it didn't because the stitching looks great.

My friend Catherine made this awesome chair for him. I love it. And the font and moose match the glass block i did for him! :)

I just realized i don't have a picture of the other thing my friend Shannon made. I will have to get a picture and post soon. :) It's an adorable wood piece with his name, moose, and nature stuff on it. I love receiving crafty items because usually it's me making them and giving them. It's nice to receive a hand made gift once in a while. :)

Glass Block

Remember me? I know, I've been horrible at posting! :)

I finally finished the Glass Block for Our Son's Nursery. We decided his name will be Wyatt Wayne Brierley. Wayne is my Dad's name, he's thrilled!

Will be posting pictures of the nursery sometime in the near future. I made the bed skirt and curtain for the closet door for now (it's weird shaped and the door has to be custom built and my poor husband has no time right now). My husband and I are also working on a special wall in the nursery, but it's a secret until it's done! :)

My baby shower is Saturday and I can't wait to fill it up with all the baby stuff!! Yay!

Enjoy! :)

Anniversary Gift and Emma's Survival Kit

So I've been really crafty the past few days... First off, i started making an anniversary card and noticed this empty glass salad dressing bottle on my desk... Soooo, I decided to pass on a card and wrote my husband a "Message in a Bottle"... I covered the glass with paper to hide the labels that WOULDN'T come off!! I tried and tried and was just making a mess, so i covered it. I had to add the flowers because there was also a little label there so the flower covered it up nicely. I used Sure Cuts Alot to cut out For Ben on it. :) Inside a paper rolled up with a "message" to my husband. Hope he likes it! Our 1 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow, I can't believe it's been 1 year already!! <3 Couldn't be happier.

Also, yesterday i went to my friends out all day to hang out with her. She had her wisdom teeth out so I made her a "Emma's Wisdom Teeth Survival Kit"... I put in crayons I had left over from the Kid's Table at my wedding and my Friend Sam and I went to the store and got her apple sauce, ice cream, activity book, coloring book, and a deck of cards. :) I have to check in with her today. Yesterday she was really sick from the anesthesia and the pain meds. Poor Emma!

That's it for now... This week I have to make a card for my Nephews Birthday. It was actually last Thursday but they are having his bday party next weekend since the family has a wedding Sunday and everyone will be here. Two of my sister in laws live in New Jersey so with all of them up here, it makes it easier for them, instead of coming home two weekends in a row. :)

But off to enjoy my Annivesary Weekend! Hope everyone enjoys their weekends too!!

Quick Birthday Card

My father in law is turning 60 on Thursday and since they live in Maine all summer i realized i had to hurry up and make a card to mail out today so it makes it to him on time. I made this really quick and it's not my best work... but it gets the point across! :) And I know he'll like it either way! :)

Vinyl

About a month ago i did Vinyl on my Niece's Wall... My Sister in Law made the files on a program she had from doing Graphic Design and she made them into .svg files that we cut out with my Sure Cuts Alot Program and Cricut!

We did it over 2 nap times at her house. Actually didn't take that long, just took a bit to figure out a few things and get in the rhythm... not to mention we had one of my nephews bouncing around "working" on one of the computers we had set up and two dogs running around which at one point stepped on the keyboard and locked her mac up. So part of being 2 days instead of one was we needed another file and her computer was stuck. :) Once Joey Monster woke up from his nap, work ended quickly. haha. She fixed her computer later that night and it was finished the next afternoon... Trick now is, keep the 2 boys from peeling them off the wall.

Hope you enjoy. We got the vinyl from CustomCrops.com but i wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't that sticky and trying to use transfer tape for the little trails for the butterflies was horrible trouble. Most was stuck by hand. And some of the vinyl sticks out. You can kind of see it on the butterflies wings a bit but it actually worked out, gives it a 3d look. :)

Horse Rememberance Frame

My friend Jess asked me if I could make something for a friend of hers who's horse just passed away. She brought me photos and this is what i came up with...

The quote on the bottom that you can't read says, "Every horse, at least once in their lives, deserves to be loved by a girl". I thought that was really sweet! :)

As always, I've been busy. It's actually the end of my Birthday week! :( It was Monday the 16th! I'm 25 this year! AHHHHH! :)

I have also been working on my Honeymoon scrapbook lately but just haven't posted any. I may post some later! :) Thanks for looking!

Canisters for Kitchen

I'm not a coffee drinker, I drink tea. But my husband on the other hand can't get enough coffee. The coffee pot sits on the counter and he always had the coffee canister, sugar container, and his spoon on the counter. For me, I don't like things on the counter, just looks like clutter to me (And I'm not a fan of clutter) so i found these great canisters that you can stack on top of each other. They are black so they match the coffee pot. They were very plain so today i added vinyl and put on Sugar and Coffee... I think I should have done the letters a tad smaller but that's okay. I can always redo them later on down the road. It will also give me a chance to see how well the vinyl holds on. Haven't used this brand vinyl for a while. Not very impressed with how sticky it is.

Hope you like them! :)
