Update...

My poor poor blog has been seriously neglected... So has my craftroom!

On March 12th my Little Man decided to make his arrival at 7:06pm. He was 8lbs 1oz and 20.5 inches long. So needless to say I've been pretty busy with him. Hoping to get some crafting in some time soon! :)

Also, my local scrapbooking stores is sadly closing! :( BUT on a happy note, i got 2 paper racks for $100. I'm super excited to get them and fill them up with my paper. It will make scrapbooking and card making so much easie having my paper easily laid out! I'll post a picture when i get them. Have to wait until they are empty or their last day around Easter. :)

Riley and Jack's Birthday Card

Below is a very simple quick card I made for my cousin's two boys. The are 13 months apart my cousin always does a joint birthday party for them. This year i got them a fun sprinkler to play with this summer! They love to go in their little swimming pool so I'm hoping they enjoy the sprinkler. It looks like fun to me!

This is my first time using the Robotz cartridge. Although the robots are really adorable, some have little peices and can get confusing putting together but once you figure it out, they are super cute! :)

Dad's Birthday Card

So it was my Dad's Birthday on Sunday and since I've been all over the place or had no energy I didn't get to make a card. I did how ever see him on his birthday but feel bad because I didn't have his gift. My dad is very hard to shop for as he buys what he wants... He'll tell you something he wants, you go to buy it and come to find out, he already bought it! Plus, this year, every time I asked for ideas, he told me he wanted his grandson born on his birthday. He even called me every day for a week to check if it was time and if i had gone for a run or exercised to make him come out! :) It was cute but sadly Baby Wyatt did not make his appearance...

I made this card with my new cartridges. I had $100 to Amazon that I was saving to get stuff for the baby but since we got everything we needed from the shower and any little stuff i already purchased and was easier in store then amazon... sooo cricut shopping it was! I was going to get a gypsy but i may not need it with the Cricut Craft Room coming out in April, so i put that on hold! :) I ended up ordering Nate's ABC, Mini Monsters, Robotz, and Simply Charmed. I think my favorite is going to be Simply Charmed! Adorable cuts in there!! The other ones are going to come in handy when Baby Wyatt is here and I start his scrapbooks.

Supplies
Mini Monsters Cartridge

Baby Wyatt's Nursery

Our theme for Wyatt's room started off as a moose theme... Then we stretched it to a nature theme. We still have lots of moose stuffed animals though! :)

I was going to take my Cricut and have my sister in law make birch trees and piece them together on the wall with Vinyl but my husband wanted to use wood. I'm glad he decided to because i think it looks great and believe it or not, was cheaper. We got 2 sheet of wood for $7 each i think it was. This spring we were planning on painting them white and making them birch trees but we kind of like the way it came out.

I drew the trees on the wood and my husband cut them out and stuck them on the wall!

I also made the bed skirt and made a matching curtain for the closet. I don't have a picture of the closet because my husband hasn't gotten it hung up yet. The door is oddly shaped and involves a custom door which my husband doesn't have time to do so a temporary (probably permanent fix) was fabric! :) Love the little squirrel. I used Sure Cuts Alot and cut the fabric with my cricut. I used Wonder Under i think it's called but of course, it didn't stick to the fabric so i had to stitch it. I'm actually glad it didn't because the stitching looks great.

My friend Catherine made this awesome chair for him. I love it. And the font and moose match the glass block i did for him! :)

I just realized i don't have a picture of the other thing my friend Shannon made. I will have to get a picture and post soon. :) It's an adorable wood piece with his name, moose, and nature stuff on it. I love receiving crafty items because usually it's me making them and giving them. It's nice to receive a hand made gift once in a while. :)

Baby Shower Card

I had a Baby Shower over the weekend and below is the cute card i made. I even decided to add a little something to the envelope this time! :) I think it came out cute! :)

I'm hoping today to also catch up on some posting here... I have pictures of the nursery and some stuff I did in there. I also have some crafty things to post that my friends made for Baby Wyatt. Love them and just want to share their creativity too! :)

Glass Block

Remember me? I know, I've been horrible at posting! :)

I finally finished the Glass Block for Our Son's Nursery. We decided his name will be Wyatt Wayne Brierley. Wayne is my Dad's name, he's thrilled!

Will be posting pictures of the nursery sometime in the near future. I made the bed skirt and curtain for the closet door for now (it's weird shaped and the door has to be custom built and my poor husband has no time right now). My husband and I are also working on a special wall in the nursery, but it's a secret until it's done! :)

My baby shower is Saturday and I can't wait to fill it up with all the baby stuff!! Yay!

Enjoy! :)
